El Roi

This moth's design reminded me of eyes...

"Then Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her. ⁷ The angel of the LORD found Hagar near a spring in the desert...

She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me."
(Gen. 16: 6a-7b & 13)

This has always been one of my favorite names of God:
El Roi -- The God who Sees

PS: What is it with me and moths, anyway?

Proud "Mama"

I am one proud "mama." Dustin, a former student, graduated tonight. Trust me, it took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. And it even came down to a nail-biter. But he did it, and I am so proud!! Congratulations, Dustin!
