Weekend Cookout

Was it just me, or were you totally digging the weather as well this weekend? We cooked out with my Monday Night girls and their families at my parents' house. We thought mine and Brittany's birthdays would be a great excuse to get together. Brittany was pumped about her King Size Caramello.

Birthday surprises

Yesterday I had a huge surprise at work. I began to notice that all of my colleagues were dressed in black and giving me their condolences. When I arrived at my office, I figured out why. I just had to get pictures of them and their "sad" faces. Though, as you'll see, some just couldn't muster one and had to smile instead. (Adam, however, looked more pissed off than anything. But, I'm not complaining; he did send me the most beautiful roses I've ever gotten.) The office staff bought me mini cannolis and sang me the most unusual version of Happy Birthday -- totally sad and dejected. Over all, it was a great day full of laughter and devoid of tears. I can't wait to start my thirty in thirty list!!

19. Saw a baby coming out of a REAL person
20. Was close enough to an active volcano to see it ashing
21. Presented at an international teacher conference
22. Saw and heard a gecko for the first time
23. Visited Seattle
24. Went to the top of the Space Needle
25. Ate steamed clams (and like them!)
26. Took a ferry across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island
27. Drank a Caramel Apple Spice at the original Starbucks
28. Saw the Rocky Mountains (from a plane)
29. Went to the movies by myself (while waiting on Adam at baseball camp)
